I went to the doctor today because I have been having problems with my ears, a few weeks ago at work I lost my hearing for an hour. That kind of freaked me out plus I've been having these popping sensations in my ears for almost two months like hearing the sucking of water in your ears. I also started caughing for no good reason, apparently I have liquid build up in the tube that is connected to my ears, nose and throat and also inflamation of the throat. If the medicine I was prescribed doesn't make the problem go away then I will have to visit a specialist that will insert a special small tube down my throat to remove the liquid so the inflamation goes down. I've been ordered by the doctor to no longer use nasal spray to clear up my sinus problem or else I might lose my hearing if the liquid blockage continues to amass in my throat and ears. I was using nasal spray for almost 15 years so I've created myself an unwanted problem.

Today I tried a new camera, I hope my new Nikon Coolpix S50 is up to the job of photographing things in Hawaii, I won't be taking the Nikon D80 with me, I don't want anything to happen to it so it stays at home. The small Nike Coolpix is very portable and easily hidden so I can travel without having to worry about my digi cam being stolen.

I've decided to go away for the winter holidays this year, so I will be going to Hawaii for a week and a half.

I'm excited because I have entered the Open Ages Poetry Contest from the Poetry Institute of Canada. I hope my poem will win a spot and be published in the annual poetry anthology book. I won a spot last year and got published, maybe this year I'll get lucky for the second time.

Yesterday I went to the beach and had an awesome time there. Now I'm enjoying my vacation and relaxing.
